The book is arranged chronologically, with fifteen chapters documenting 5plus’ culture and major projects between 2010 – 2025. A series of practice focused ‘interludes’ form breaks between the chapters, and these conversational pieces relate to themes and messages that were pertinent to the Practice during this period.
We set out to produce a simple and elegant book, that focusses the reader on the content within, the layout adopting a rigorous typographic approach and structured grid to compliment the subject matter.
The book consists of 364 pages, with silk screen printed covers, and litho printed inner pages. The exposed threaded binding technique enables the large double plate images to naturally fold flat, and the spine reveals the raw coloured layers within the book, forming a unique motif to the spine. To compliment the numerical theme we selected five coloured covers, each closely linked to our own branding sensibilities. The book was designed in-house by 5plus and beautifully printed by Pureprint in East Sussex.
The book is limited to 400 hand numbered copies and it was launched 1st October 2025.
