Our proposal for Farm Road is a 26-storey building, offering 409 high-quality homes for rent in what will become one of Sheffield’s tallest residential structures. The site was selected for its sustainable location, excellent connectivity to Sheffield Station and the city centre, and its prominence within the emerging Sheaf Valley masterplan.
The 409 apartments vary in size, catering to individuals as well as larger families. Our design prioritises the creation of high-quality, thoughtfully planned homes. The unit mix—comprising one, two, and three-bedroom apartments—reflects tenant profiles, the demographics of Sheffield, and local housing needs. The building also offers a wide range of communal amenities, designed to meet the social, leisure, and workplace needs of residents, with both internal and external spaces available.
The building’s design features a tower rising to 26 storeys, oriented to address the city, complemented by an adjoining wing that steps from 14 to 20 storeys. Brick serves as the primary façade material, forming a gridded envelope with elements of metal and glazing set within. Large windows enhance the tower’s elegant form, while also creating bright, welcoming interiors and offering unspoiled views.
